The purpose of this weblog is to allow me to indulge in some of my wilder fantasies.

The Palmyra fantasy which leads was inspired by a now-defunct page on the Schambereich site

http://schambereich.de/

and a Yahoo group I once set up.

Palmya is a semi-mythical Caribbean island, a tropical paradise with a difference. It is a libertarian society with few rules or restraints, except one. To honour the natural beauty of the female body, women are forbidden to wear clothes.
For me, Palmyra represents two things. Firstly, I have always had a fascination for one-sided nudity, also known as CMNF (clothed male, naked female).  In the words of the
Schambereich site: it deals with the eroticism of unilateral female nudity. Its appeal lies in the combination of (consensual) exhibitionist, humiliation and power imbalance fantasies.

The classic CMNF tableau is, of course, Manet’s Déjeuner sur l’Herbe (Luncheon on the Grass).

I also think of Palmyra as a social experiment, a hypothetical scenario. As a radical feminist with a larger than average “kink” quotient, how would I react and interact under exceptional circumstances, in this case in a situation where nudity is not only compulsory but exclusively for my sex – aroused, humiliated, adventurous, defiant?
